After speaking to the Prior Pursglove manager yesterday, we have been asked to advise you that NO HEELS can be worn if you are coming to dance at the ceilidh on the Saturday evening. (This is to protect the rubber floor in the Sports Hall.) We would be very grateful if you could spread the word to anyone you know who is coming to the Festival. Thank you.

Have you been wondering why you’ve heard little from us recently? Well, let me assure we have been working like beavers behind the scenes to ensure that you enjoy a marvellous Festival next April here in Cleveland.

So, what have we been doing?

The application form is almost ready for printing and the programme is in the process of being written. What a lot of work goes into producing these documents! So that we don’t get in the way of Christmas mail, we have decided that the application forms will be available from mid-January. Watch this space for further details.

We have also arranged for you to purchase a special souvenir so that you can remember your visit to Cleveland. Your application form will give you more information.

And now for the good news! We have booked the caterers, who are providing us with top quality food on the Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes and before the ceilidh on the Saturday evening. No excuses now for being too tired to dance after a day’s playing!

More news soon!

We have booked a ceilidh band for the Saturday evening, "The Teesside Fettlers". They are a well known local band who both play for listening and for dancing. They will be giving us a short concert after the final massed playing session to close the day's proceedings. On the Saturday evening, hopefully you will stay with us for a finger buffet and what promises to be a very enjoyable Ceilidh.

Visited the venue today and identified possible locations where various activities would take place. There is clearly a lot more to do on this score but a start was made.
